The pandemic has had a big impact on patient’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. Patients have been isolated and are unable to engage in offsite activities or family and care givers due to COVID 19 restrictions.
The MHM Wales Team supports Ysbyty’r Seren which is Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB’s field hospital which has been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ysbyty’r Seren provides care for our patients away from the district general hospital setting. This will help create capacity in our acute settings for our patients needing more specialist care
Working in partnership MHM Wales has supported the development and is delivering a successful person centred relationship promoting people’s positive wellbeing, human rights, communication, spiritual and cultural needs. By offering activities tailored specifically for the patient’s through the provision of activities and spending time with individuals.
