Clubs, Societies & Groups

There are lots of ways that your club, group or society can help us strive to support communities in improve quality of life for anyone affected by mental health.

To get started, please register your fundraising plans with us. When you register, we’ll send you our fundraising toolkit which is packed with helpful information.

 

One of our team will be in touch to give you all the support you need with getting your fundraising off the ground.

Charity Of The Year

By choosing us as your charity of the year, any money you raise will help us empower those affected by mental health and improve overall well-being through our many and varied services.


We can provide you with any support you need – including a dedicated fundraising contact, and materials like event posters and talks.

Request A Talk

Are you looking for interesting speakers for a meeting or event? We can talk to you about how work has a direct impact on your community experiencing Mental Health .

Universities

By fundraising and volunteering for us, you won’t only be helping grant magical wishes to seriously ill children and young people – you’ll also be improving your skills and boosting your CV.


Whether as an individual student or part of a RAG or other society, there are lots of ways to get involved and we’d love to work with you too.

Volunteer Trailblazer

Are you a self-starter who can make a big impact on campus?

Do you want to develop your skills?

Would you like something amazing to put on your CV?

 

If so, our MHM Trailblazer voluntary position is perfect for you.

Recruit a team for example an epic trek across up Kilimanjaro or a Sky Dive to help raise money continue supporting anyone affected by Mental health – whilst having bags of fun!

 

Form a Fundraising Group or Society

Fundraising groups are a great way to meet like-minded people who want to help us grant magical wishes.


Not only will working with a group help you organise events –it’s also a great way to socialise!

We are looking to set up societies in Universities and would be happy to help you get started.

Schools & colleges are helping raising vital funds to support those affected by mental health!

How your school can help


The thousands of pounds raised by schools, colleges and nurseries are crucial in helping us provide support who need them most. Whether it’s a sports day, family fete,cake sale or walk a mile  – there are so many different ways you can help raise funds.


Whatever your idea – we want to hear it!  with us and we’ll support your fundraising all the way!

Hold Your Own Fundraising

There are lots of ways to raise funds for us. Take a look at our A to Z of Fundraising for inspiration for holding your own event.

Or you could join hundreds of other supporters by holding a event, selling cakes and baked goods to raise funds to help us grant wishes.

Raids

Raids and street collections can be great ways to raise funds to help strive to support communities to improve quality of life for anyone affected by mental health.

Before starting, please give a call on (01656) 651 451 or email fundraising@mhmwales.org 


We can then provide you with a letter of authority and collecting tins and stickers, to help you fundraise legally and safely. You’ll also need to call your local council for advice and to apply for a collection licence.

Please note that we don’t allow our supporters to knock 

Celebrate and Donate


Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary or any other special occasion, you can use your special day to give.


By asking friends and family to make a donation instead of buying gifts, you’ll be bringing happiness to some very deserving children – and their families too.

Give A Gift In Your Will

Legacy donations, big or small, help us can help us strive to support communities in improve quality of life for anyone affected by mental health


There are a few different ways you can donate to us:


  • You can choose to leave a percentage of your estate – this is known as a residuary legacy
  • You can leave us a set amount – this is known as a pecuniary legacy. Bear in mind that due to inflation, the real value of pecuniary gifts may change over time
  • You can leave an item such as jewellery or property – this is known as a specific legacy.


Your solicitor will be able to give you more advice about the different types of gift. We would encourage you to discuss any plans to leave a legacy gift with your solicitor.

You can even fundraise for us by searching the web! We’re working with Savoo Search, Save and Raise, and we’d like to introduce you to this innovative way of donating.
