To provide high quality, non-instructed advocacy for those assessed as lacking capacity within the meaning of the Mental Capacity Act (and subsequent amendments) who are subject to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, ensuring an holistic approach to advocacy based on the assessment of the rights and needs of individuals
The Wellbeing Retreat Worker will be part of a team providing an “out of hours” service to support adults who are experiencing mental ill health at a wellbeing retreat located on the outskirts of Bridgend Town.
Working in close partnership with Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB and other key partners the wellbeing retreat will offer a high quality out of hours support service. The weekly hours (24) are spread across the week (Monday – Sunday) and retreat is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (5 – 11pm).

The aim of the post is to work alongside the Wellbeing Activity worker to provide practical and therapeutic support to for clients accessing Bridgend Social Services Day Facilities supporting those with early onset of dementia and their carers across the hubs within Bridgend County Borough.
To assist in the provision of an eating disorder service in accordance with MHM Wales’s Eating Disorder Operational Policy which includes elements of the Maudsley Model. The eating disorder services aim is to provide support to those referred through the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) delivered by the Cwm Taff Morgannwg University Health Board
