'Emotional Intelligence'

Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)


This two-day course qualifies delegates as adult mental health first aiders. Delegates will get a deep understanding of what mental health is and what factors can affect wellbeing. The course teaches delegates practical skills to spot the signs of mental illness and gives them the confidence to step in and support a person who needs assistance.

This MHFA (Wales) course is a national training programme for Wales which is licensed and developed by Mental Health First Aid Wales. 

 

Who is it for:

Attendees of the course should be aged over 18. This course is suitable for those who want to gain the necessary skills to have a non-judgemental conversation, recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues in adults and effectively guide a person towards the right support.

Assessment:

This course is not assessed.


Certification:

All delegates will be issued with a Adult Mental Health First Aid certificate awarded by Mental Health First Aid Wales. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
